![]() Have plans to travel internationally soon? You might want to make sure you have a while before your passport expires as there’s currently an “unprecedented” wait time for passport renewals.
While usually it takes roughly six to eight weeks to renew a passport, it’s currently running around 12 to 18 weeks to get your new passport due to application backlogs, mail delays and staffing shortages. Add in that many countries require the passport be valid for at least three months post-trip, and you’ll want to make sure you have ample time to get it back.
