The US trademark office has dismissed a trademark claim filed by rapper and entrepreneur Dr. Dre against gynecologist Draion Burch, who markets his services under the name Dr. Drai. Burch successfully argued that people are unlikely to confuse the services provided by the two, since "Dr. Dre is not a medical doctor nor is he qualified to provide any type of medical services or sell products specifically in the medical or health care industry."
