What to do about Louisiana's teacher shortage?

Teacher exits: Louisiana loses thousands of teachers each year, and lawmakers are considering a swath of bills that would increase teacher pay and eliminate some curriculum requirements in a bid to keep them here, Elyse Carmosino reports.

Public records: Bills that would gut the state's public records law and give Gov. Jeff Landry's administration - and dozens of local governments - a shroud of secrecy under which to operate were filed this week, James Finn reports.
