We reported this morning that officials are considering allowing fully vaccinated individuals to visit amber list countries without having to quarantine. Meanwhile, the Government remains gripped by the fear of a third wave but are they putting their public pronouncements in the right context? Henry Bodkin and Alex Clark examine what the official Covid charts aren’t showing us. GB News’s launch may have suffered a few technical glitches, but it is the stampede of self-aware corporations pulling their advertising from the fledgling news channel that has caused the most surprise. It may also backfire, argues Allister Heath in a searing column in which he calls for corporations to ditch the politics and return to their true raison d’tre. Of the many reasons for the West’s turning against China, the alleged genocide in Xinjiang is one of the most morally powerful.
