Wolves in Trump's Crosshairs

Last week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that it intends to strip gray wolves of Endangered Species Act protections and return wolf management to states that are eager to reinstitute hunting. “For over a hundred years, wolves have been needlessly persecuted,” says Bonnie Rice, director of the Sierra Club’s Greater Yellowstone/Northern Rockies campaign. “[They] have barely started to recover in some areas, and still occupy only five percent of their historic range.”

Let the EPA know it must withdraw its unlawful proposal and instead commit to fully enforcing and strengthening the standards that are currently in place.
