🌅 Good morning!

Sometimes being a mom can be a lonely experience, according to Holly Richardson.

She has a unique family with "lots of kids" and "spent a number of years 'in the trenches' and one of the things that still stands out is how lonely I felt," she writes.

🤝 How can we approach becoming less lonely? Here's what Holly suggests:

  • If you don’t already have a strong friend group, create one. It takes some time and it takes deliberate effort to reach out, but it’s so worth it.
  • If friendships have faded through neglect, make a concerted effort to revive those most important ones.

debate-1

Utah’s 3rd District candidates want to solve America’s problems. But can they do it civilly?

Candidates for the open 3rd Congressional District seat debated Thursday.

State Sen. Mike Kennedy: The Republican nominee to replace Rep. John Curtis pitched himself as a legislative problem solver, willing to work with anybody to find solutions on debt, welfare and immigration.

Former Summit County Councilman Glenn Wright: He painted Kennedy as a threat to voters’ rights because of his views on abortion, LGBTQ issues and former president Donald Trump.

Here are four questions that came up as a theme through the debate:

  1. Can Congress be civil?
  2. Can Congress balance the budget?
  3. Can Congress handle artificial intelligence?
  4. Can Congress help with the Olympics and address population growth?
