Dear Reader, I have something important to tell you. You might not want to hear it…but I think it’s important for you to know. We might be known as the ‘Lucky Country’. And in many ways, we live up to that standard. But we got cocky along the way. And now, we’re barrelling towards a dicey economic fallout completely unarmed. It may not sound like big news yet… But when you see just how underprepared we are, you’ll see why this has me shaking. Not just with fear, I’m furious. Australia’s last technical recession was in 1991. It’s definitely impressive. But the behaviour of our country’s leaders has turned what should be a proud moment into a chilling reality. Because rather than use those 28 years to build up our defences against the next (inevitable) economic strike, they’ve let the situation stagnate. We had a lucky break with the GFC. And we used up our last defences to get through it. Now we’re facing the next major economic challenge, I believe a bigger one than we’ve seen in decades. And we have no game plan. So I’m making my own, with the help of some old friends. We may not be able to float the entire economy, but we’d love to help you get your plans on track too. See the plan here.
