Masterpiece Home Decor with Extraordinary Vintage Poster Art
Sometimes you don’t know What you Like until you see it. Until You REALLY See it! . What makes you happy? . About 35 years ago I acquired my first Original Vintage Abbott & Costello movie poster, it was a 1953 “Abbott & Costello Meet Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde” one sheet. I still remember how ecstatic I was to own that old movie poster with amazing artwork of Bud and Lou! Growing up watching A&C on TV on Saturday afternoons was a special time. And now owning one of their Original movie posters that was actually used to promote their movie in the theaters in 1953 was so surreal to me. . And I still have that exciting find displayed in my office today. Since then I've come to appreciate vintage movie posters with extraordinary art. . Ironically some of the worst movies had the most beautiful posters. Case in point, the 1955 Ed Woods “masterpiece of involuntary farce”, Bride of the Monster with Bela Lugosi in his last role. Another of my all time favorite pieces of stunning vintage poster art is the 1966 re-release one sheet of Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece, “North by Northwest” (which we recently acquired the One Sheet, Half Sheet and Insert posters).
