WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN CANADA, AND WHY?

On this Canada Day, we cherish our country more than ever. That's why Canadian Geographic and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society have been asking notable Canadians what their favourite place in Canada is, and why? The result is this beautiful digital map of Canada, called "Our Country-Notre Pays", with stories from notable Canadians from every province or territory.
  

With our sovereignty being questioned, many of us are holding onto what unites us - the landscapes, wildlife and extraordinary natural beauty of Canada. 

For nearly 100 years, Canadian Geographic has shared the story of Canada, through our magazine, education and exploration. 

From the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, to the quiet beauty of Ellesmere Island, to the ever-shining lighthouses of Nova Scotia, it is our love of shared places that unite us across our geography and make us proud to call Canada home.  

This is "Our Country-Notre Pays".
