Hi John,

To be grounded is to be stable, sensible, and realistic. When good times make you want to soar above the world and bad times make you want to fly off the rails, what brings you back to reality?

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know how grounded I feel when I’m in nature. Especially in the forests near my home. In fact, they’re the focus of many of my watercolor paintings.

For me, I Am Here Now is about the overwhelming hugeness of nature and the incredible fact that no matter how huge the forests, fields, lakes, and rivers are, I am here and I am seen.

How does it make you feel?

Next time you feel overwhelmed or unstable, try going out into nature and looking at the horizon. It’s so much bigger than you. Yet here you are. No matter what happens, that horizon will be there tomorrow and so will you.

You can do this.
