Personally, I was happy to see that two of my favorite shows from the last year, “Ted Lasso” and “Squid Game,” received some great accolades. As a child of the 90s, I also loved that the infamous duo Keenan and Kel had a reunion at the event. Also, no awards show would be complete without a dedication to screen legend Betty White or the incomparable Sidney Poitier. (Seriously, I was sobbing in the middle of his big monologue in a college class while we watched “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.” That movie is a masterpiece.)
