Click here Wednesday, 25 May 2022 WHA Highlights Day 4 of the 75th World Health Assembly The 75th World Health Assembly (WHA) continues today in Palais des Nations in Geneva, with all the sessions webcast live. The provisional agenda can be accessed here. Working hours are from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 14:30 to 17:30 CEST. There will be no evening session. The WHA will meet today in Committee A and Committee B and in General Committee. The unprecedented COVID pandemic global crisis has been an eye-opener to the world with millions of lives lost and major socio-economic disruptions made. It has exposed the limitations of most health systems. In response to the crisis, a WHO position paper was released in October 2021, “Building health systems resilience towards UHC and health security during COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.” We will hear from the WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and others on the reasons why a radical reorientation of health systems toward PHC is crucial.
