Vehicles at work continue to be one of the main causes of fatal and major injuries. The latest figures for 2023 to 2024 show that show that 25 workers were killed when struck by a moving vehicle: work-related fatal injuries in Great Britain. A specialist construction company has been fined £60,000 following an investigation into the fatal incident. The steeplejack was carrying out restoration work and was suspended from the 60 metre tall steeple, sitting in a bosun's chair, when he fell, suffering fatal injuries. HSE's investigation found that the bosunâs chair was not supported by a suitable backup system preventing falls, such as a double or twin leg lanyard fall arrest harness. Webinar: Managing and controlling work-related stress
