On April 8, 2014, Bitcoin Magazine reported on Mexico's first-ever bitcoin exchange, Bitso.
"Currently, this is the only local platform on which to exchange bitcoin for Mexican pesos," Tristan Winters wrote. "Bitso is a Mexican-based company and provider of cryptocurrency services, including remittance facilities and consultation. The company operates from offices in Mexico City, Puebla and Vancouver."
