Get in, losers — the Lindsay Lohan-aissance has arrived. After many, shall we say, rocky years, the former Miss Mykonos (never forget those dance moves) and master of “perplexing, ever-changing” accents is now a mother, married to a relatively private financier, and is having a resurgence, in more ways than one. Spend .5 seconds on her Instagram, and it’s clear the millennial fashion icon has taken her style to a new level, with many saying “she’s never looked better.” Case in point: the shimmery, silver fringe gown Lohan wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar party (in the words of one Instagram commenter, “it’s giving ‘reclaiming my throne’”); this mint green Disney princess-esque number; her Matrix-like leather trench moment; this monochromatic pastel pink look (it gives new meaning to “On Wednesdays, we wear pink”); and what is quite possibly the chicest groutfit to ever exist. But high-fashion isn’t the only thing Lohan is serving. The 38-year-old is also delivering truly entertaining content, both on social media (see: her and Jamie Lee Curtis being “very demure, very mindful”) and on screen. In addition to making a surprise cameo in the Mean Girls movie musical, Lohan is also becoming Netflix’s Queen of Holiday Movies — with her second filmreleased on Wednesday. While on the One Little Secret press circuit, Lohan recreated an iconic Mean Girls scene with Toaster Strudel heiress Gretchen Wieners, shared her reaction to NFL players re-enacting The Parent Trap handshake, and recalled the time she told a former Disney CEO that she should’ve been paid “double” for playing Annie and Hallie (hard agree). But that all pales in comparison to what’s next: starring alongside Curtis and Chad Michael Murray in Freakier Friday — which will mark Lohan’s first theatrical release in over a decade. (Yes, Pink Slip will be reuniting.) Sounds pretty fetch if you ask us. |
| What do you do after working as a C-suite exec at Netflix, Endeavor, and Uber — and launching your own wig and hair brand? Obviously, you join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills...at least, if you’re Bozoma “Boz” Saint John. First, to address the natural question here: Why would a wildly successful woman decide to join a wildly chaotic reality show? “I’ve turned a corner in my life where I am doing things that are for ‘brand Boz,’” Saint John told Glamour. “I want to be the representation for women like me, the self-made ones, the corporate baddies who don’t mind wearing the red lip … [or] sequins on a Tuesday.” Translation: Expect lots of bold fashion choices from the show’s newest diamond-holder, along with impressive range (she’s a fan of 700-page historical fiction tomes and Selling Sunset), a strict 9:30 pm bedtime, and sage advice (her memoir details some deeply personal struggles, including losing her husband to cancer). That level-headed wisdom might be just what the RHOBH crew needs — since Saint John joins the group at a rather interesting time, to put it charitably (non-Bravoholics, find a full recap of the drama here). So buckle up, Boz, because you’re in for one turbulent ride. |
| We firmly believe the days after Thanksgiving are for (a) wearing extremely stretchy pants and (b) disassociating on the couch with deeply comforting movies. And while you could dive into the holiday classics, we’d like to recommend Sweethearts. The coming-of-age Max rom-com — described as “an homage to both When Harry Met Sally and Superbad” — stars Sally Draper (whoops, Kiernan Shipka) and up-and-coming actor Nico Hiraga as childhood best friends Jamie and Ben. Feeling unfulfilled by their respective long-distance relationships, the two college freshmen resolve to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break — specifically, the night before the holiday, which makes them grow even closer. Predictable? Yes. Perfect for recovering from a days-long food-induced coma? Also, yes. |
| Aritzia The Super Puff™ Another year, another endless search for a puffer that doesn’t make you look and feel like the Michelin Man. If that sounds familiar, you’re in luck: We asked our shopping team for a solution to this highly specific yet somehow universal conundrum, and they unanimously agreed on Aritzia’s The Super Puff™. The sleek, stylish jacket is warm enough to withstand temps as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the brand, and the exterior is made from a proprietary fabric that’s both water- and wind-resistant. Plus, we appreciate the removable hood and high collar (for extra warmth and protection) and the fact it comes in a whopping 32 colors — all of which you can get on sale today. |
