EDITOR’S NOTE Happy Sunday. While I’ve been a ride-or-die for OPI’s Big Apple Red since high school, Selena Gomez wore a drugstore shade that’s making me reconsider. Speaking of high school, I’m admittedly not a big fan of most Y2K trends (Bella Hadid’s bejeweled silver dress is giving major prom flashbacks), but I’m willing to make an exception for Ayo Edebiri’s pink Marc Jacobs Juicy-core set. Things I’m not willing to make an exception for during this delightfully long weekend? Mayo. Which is why I will not be participating in “Cold Salad Plate Summer.” However, I might try making TikTok’s viral ceasaroni pizza sandwich. Though something tells me the “Vanderpump Rules” ladies won’t be adding this item to their Nancy Meyers-inspired sandwich shop menu anytime soon — no matter how much hype it gets. — Taylor Trudon / Writer, Culture & Lifestyle / Brooklyn, NY |

👒 And just like that, Carrie Bradshaw has divided the internet with her gigantic, gingham hat. And her Dr. Scholl's sandals. We couldn't help but wonder: Are Dansko clogs next? 🍣 Finance dudes are supposedly ditching steakhouses for high-end sushi or — wait for it — “bromakase.” More like “no-makase.” 🛫 Louder, for the influencer in seat 35C: “Can We Not With the In-Flight Skin-Care Routines?” 👠 Another week, another shoe choice making us question our sanity. This time, Rihanna's trying to make a sock-slipper happen...in the summer. Meanwhile, toe rings are making the comeback nobody asked for. |

Congratulations are in order for Timothée Chalamet, Gen Z heartthrob with cheekbones that rival Tom Brady’s, who was immortalized in wax this week, per Hollywood tradition. On Wednesday, Madame Tussauds London unveiled their wax figure of the “Dune: Part Two” star. And while wax figures of celebrities are inherently, uh, weird, the final result…doesn’t look as terrible as we imagined? At least, when compared to the treatment of Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Sam Smith, Beyoncé, and Justin Bieber, whose figure was recently given a very creepy update. The museum’s long history of producing deranged-looking wax figures invites a lot of questions in 2024. For starters, why are we still sculpting celebrities out of wax? Why do people still go see them? Is it a requirement that figures resemble characters from “The Sims”? At the end of the day, even if you don’t plan on personally crossing the pond to take selfies with Chalamet’s likeness, social media still appears overwhelmingly impressed with his wax doppelgänger (“jawline on point”). But as one person tweeted, “where is this energy when it comes to Beyoncé?????” Madame T., we await your response. |

Even if you’ve never seen a “Mad Max” film, you’ve probably seen at least one of the numerous eye-catching red carpet looks (exhibit A: this “bondage-inspired” minidress) Anya Taylor-Joy has worn while promoting the fifth movie in the action-packed franchise. “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” which hit theaters May 24, is a post-apocalyptic prequel that tells the story of Furiosa (Taylor-Joy), a young girl captured from her home by a gang of bikers led by an evil warlord (Chris Hemsworth). While biding her time until she can break free, she transforms into a cunning, calculating fighter who’s determined to get revenge. Come for the popcorn, stay for ATJ’s steely stares and high-chase car stunts — performed her first time ever behind the wheel. |

Introducing two members of the 2024 Nepo Baby Hall of Fame, First Daughters of Cinema division. Let’s start with Francesca Scorsese (yes, that Scorsese), whose TikToks featuring her dad are viral gold. Her latest cinematic masterpiece is this hilarious “we’re movie lovers” parody, where Francesca gives viewers a tour of their home, which is decorated with iconic movie memorabilia. Even though he's just a guest star, Martin Scorsese can't help but give director's notes from the sidelines. Then there is Romy Mars, daughter of Sofia Coppola and Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars. You may recall her from her famous TikTok last year explaining her attempt to charter a helicopter using her parents’ credit card while grounded (relatable). Though Romy may have horrified her mom, she won the internet. This week, the 17-year-old aspiring singer dropped her first EP, which is already getting rave reviews. Big week for a girl who was just on the Cannes red carpet sandwiched between another legendary director (ahem, her grandfather) and Adam Driver. |
