You donât need to know a running back from a quarterback to know that Bill Belichickâs interview with CBS Sunday Morning was a major fumble.Things were already off to an awkward start (weâll never say âcorrectâ the same) â and then came the cringeworthy moment when the owner of eight Super Bowl rings and an astounding number of ratty sweatshirts was asked about how he met his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who was off screen. Hudson, whom Belichick has described as his âidea mill and creative muse,â quickly shut down the question in a moment that launched endless memes, a John Mulaney spoof, and even a People deep dive on the 73-year-oldâs dating history. Many wondered: Was the question really that off-limits? It doesnât seem like it, considering itâs no secret the two met on a flight to Palm Beach, where Belichick signed her Deductive Logic textbook (what a beach read). Since then, the septuagenarian and his Gen-Z partner have practiced #Billates together (you have to see it to believe it), dressed as a fisherman and mermaid for Halloween, made friends with goats, and co-starred in a Dunkinâ Super Bowl commercial. On Wednesday, in the wake of the interview drama â which had everyone from Charles Barkley to Belichickâs daughter-in-law weighing in â the exâPatriots coach released a statement, accusing CBS of violating his request âto focus solely on the contents of the bookâ (which CBS disputed) and creating âa false narrative.â He also defended Hudson, saying she was âsimply doing her job.â What is her job, you ask? Itâs hard to say. After Belichick accepted the head coaching position at UNC, he asked that she be looped into all university work emails, according to The Athletic. She also reportedly played an âinstrumental roleâ in tanking an HBO deal and is trying to trademark some of Belichickâs catchphrases. Oh, and when sheâs not moonlighting as a one-woman PR team, the former college cheerleader is preparing for the 2025 Miss Maine USA competition, which starts Saturday. Just another chapter in the strangest offseason storyline in football. |
| All right everyone, gird your loins. Tomorrow is the first Monday in May â which means the Met Gala is upon us. Inspired by this yearâs theme (âSuperfine: Tailoring Black Styleâ), the dress code for 2025âs prom for fashion people is âTailored for You,â which isâŠa bit obvious since almost all the Met Gala outfits are custom. But we digress. The evening will be hosted by, of course, Anna Wintour, along with honorary chair LeBron James and co-chairs Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Colman Domingo, who weâre already declaring Best Dressed (donât @ us). Ahead of the big night, weâre sharing the chaos, cameos, and couture weâre predicting (read: manifesting)... đź After some very enthusiastic courtside PDA, TimothĂ©e Chalamet and Kylie Jenner will make their red carpet debut. Plus, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper will also arrive hand in hand (bonus points if Cooperâs âawfully goodâ cheesesteaks are served as late-night snacks). đź Certified Alliums Hater Anna Wintour will ditch her usual uniform for a razor-sharp, menswear-inspired power suit. đź Billy Porter and Rihanna will, as always, shut down the red carpet. Porter will outdo his legendary 2019 arrival â you know, the one featuring six shirtless men carrying him in, which even Vogue called âthe Most Fabulous Entrance in Met Gala History.â And Rihanna will top that outrageously beaded, Pope-inspired dress. Sure, itâs a tall order, but if anyone can pull it off, itâs them. đź Tyla will show up soaked. After last yearâs viral dress made of sand, water is the natural next step. (Fingers crossed she doesnât have to be lifted up the steps.) đź BeyoncĂ© will make a surprise appearance â despite just kicking off a global tour â flanked by Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, all in coordinating cowgirl âfits. Yeehaw. |
| Take The White Lotus, subtract the deaths, lose the (sometimes) catchy theme song, add an earnest, feel-good touch â and you get The Four Seasons. The new Netflix comedy, based on the 1981 Alan Alda and Carol Burnett film, follows three couples â played by Tina Fey and Will Forte, Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani, and Steve Carell and Kerri Kenney-Silver â who vacation together four times a year (must be nice). But their tradition and friendship is threatened when Nick (Carell) announces that heâs leaving his wife (Kenney-Silver) and tries to bring his much younger girlfriend (Erika Henningsen) into the fold. Billed as a âlove letter to all kinds of relationships,â the eight-episode miniseries is hilarious (a given), sneakily tender, and packed with awkward dinner parties, passive-aggressive pranks, and wine-fueled side-eye. |
| Dr. Althea 147 Barrier Cream Caroline, Senior Commerce Editor, here. Iâll admit that Iâm usually a sucker for luxury skincare. But in the wake of...recent world events, Iâm being more intentional about how I spend my money â meaning, my holy grail moisturizer, Dieuxâs Instant Angel, is taking a temporary backseat. Instead, Iâm using the next best thing, which I firmly believe is this cream from Dr. Althea, a Korean skincare brand thatâs gaining popularity stateside. The formula is loaded with hydrating ceramides, lipids, and hyaluronic acid, and the texture is rich (think: none of that flimsy, liquidy nonsense I personally loathe) yet still allows my skin to breathe. But the best part? The under-$30 price tag. |
