Turmeric has many health uses. It has been used like an antibiotic for thousands of years. I add oil, such as coconut oil, and a dash of black pepper to enhance the absorption of the turmeric benefits. I also add a dash of turmeric in my white rice to make it look like yellow rice.

Cranberry Sweet Potato MuffinsI took advantage of great holiday sales on both cranberries and sweet potatoes to make these excellent muffins. I made some substitutions, and will write the recipe both as written and my version. This is a recipe that freezes well and is so good and easy to make. My thrift store mini-chopper made chopping the cranberries so easy and fast.

How come the 12 oz bag calls for the same amount of brown sugar and white sugar (3/4 cup I think), yet the 6 oz bag calls for 1/2 cup brown sugar, but only 1/3 cup white sugar? Why the difference?
