Lineage Logistics to expand, create 36 new jobs

One of the world’s largest refrigerated warehouse companies is expanding its North Charleston facilities with a $34 million investment that is expected to create 36 jobs. By growing its North Charleston operations, the company hopes to increase its ability to meet customer needs for efficiency of temperature-controlled supply chains around the world.

Trump continues moratorium on offshore drilling in S.C.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Tuesday to extend Florida’s current moratorium on offshore drilling for 10 years and expand it through Georgia and South Carolina’s Atlantic coasts.

SBA announces S.C. award winners

South Carolina’s Small Business Administration announced its national and state awards Tuesday with plans to recognize state winners in a virtual ceremony from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 16. Several winners were named from the Lowcountry.

Helping Out

The March of Dimes will holds its Charleston Signature Chefs Auction Virtual Gala at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 19. Funds will go toward scientific research and educational programs. Participants will be able to bid on silent and live auctions, enter a raffle, and interact with chefs from restaurants in the area.
