OSHA fines shipyard $37,591 after employee death

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration charged that Detyens Shipyard failed to protect its employees from several types of hazards after an employee was killed after being struck by a shackle in the workplace.

Emanuel Nine Memorial Foundation launches new website

On the fifth anniversary of the shooting deaths of nine parishioners inside the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the foundation that plans to create a memorial at the church has launched a new informational and fundraising website.
