| ESG continues to be popular but standards need to be set

Retirement savings for the average 22-year old could be increased by as much as 7 to 12 per cent if schemes made a small allocation to venture capital and growth equity funds, according to a recent survey, but for that to happen, Monserrat comments that it is time for a radical overhaul of the traditional venture capital model. He states that 95 per cent of venture capital-backed start-ups are deemed unprofitable, and the failure rate is 75 per cent.
