| ESG to continue to dominate investment preferences in 2022 This week we bring you the top three themes in ESG as predicted by Rathbone Greenbank’s Kate Elliot. Commenting on the progress made by COP26 last year in Glasgow, Elliot expresses her disappointment at the 10 to15 year lag between action on biodiversity and climate change, saying that the world simply does not have the luxury to wait that long. Our In My Opinion over the holidays was written by Spectrum Markets’ head of marketing, Martina Hoffard, who writes that women in technology are underrepresented. Underpaid. Underpromoted? Better representation of women in the workplace correlates to better business outcomes; proving that what’s good for equality is good for business, she writes. News trickled in over the holiday season much of it dominated by consolidation through acquisition in the wealth sector. It should be an interesting year ahead.
