From 20 January 2020 you’ll hear an exciting mix of new and familiar voices on ABC Radio Canberra. We welcome the wonderful Lish Fejer to Breakfast, taking over from Dan Bourchier after three fantastic years behind the mic. Dan will continue to present the ABC TV 7pm News bulletin from Sunday to Thursday, alongside Craig Allen Friday and Saturday. We also farewell Greg Bayliss from the airwaves after more than a decade, and say hello to Adrienne Francis who will host Saturday Breakfast and Kim Huynh who will step into Sunday Brunch. Excitingly, we’ll be local for longer each week day, with Adam Shirley on Mornings from 8.30am Paula Kruger returning for Afternoons at the extended time of 12:30pm-3:30pm, and Anna Vidot joins you for your end of day commute on Drive from 3.30pm-6.30pm. Finally, we say goodbye to Chris Bath and good evening to Sarah Macdonald who is leaving Nightlife to present Evenings!

Thank you for your generosity |

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity you’ve shown towards this year’s ABC Canberra Foodbank NSW & ACT Giving Tree appeal. Your kindness has amounted to hundreds of kilos of food and thousands of dollars of donations, going directly to people and families in our community to help fight hunger this festive season. Our appeal wraps us this Friday, but Foodbank welcomes donations all year-round, so there’s still time to give at foodbank.org.au. So, for every tin of food, or dollar, or packet of nappies you donated, and from everyone at ABC Radio Canberra and Foodbank NSW & ACT, thank you.

The Piano Rescuers: Keeping the music alive |
|
| |
|
Mathias Mustillo is The Piano Rescuer. He's rescued over 500 pianos from around the Canberra region and bought them back to life. Some he finds new homes for, others he wheels out into the streets to become the sound of the city. ABC Radio Canberra's Lish Fejer followed her ears and found Mathias at his pop-up shop, which is bursting with pianos being fixed, tuned and played.
