A lot of Dave Gettleman's beloved hog mollies will be available at No. 6, but I think if Dwayne Haskins is on the board you have to take him, and get this: Ryan Wilson has heard the Giants LOVE Daniel Jones. It's all part of Mock Draft Monday, and Chip Patterson also joins (Chip's got Ed Oliver soaring to No. 3) as we dive deep into the first round.
Jason La Canfora says that, unlike years past, AT LEAST HALF the NFL's teams will consider applying either a franchise or transition tag. Starting Tuesday they'll be able to do so ... but which players will get tagged? Jason took a look at 16 under consideration and ranked them from very certain to low chance; here's where he's got Nick Foles.
The Jags could end up signing Nick Foles, but hear Ryan Wilson out on this. Even if they do, they could still take the draft's most talented player and go from having NO QB AT ALL to a situation where Foles starts and Kyler Murray waits in the wings. Everybody's talking about how loaded this draft class is with defensive linemen, but Chris Trapasso says DON'T SLEEP ON THE BLOCKERS. The class of O-linemen is especially top-heavy, with Alabama's Jonah Williams among those expected to go early, but plenty of others could hear their names called, and Chris sorts them all out.
There are certain rules to abide by if you want to avoid making bad trades in the NFL, and No. 1 is this: If the Pats are interested in one of your players, DON'T TRADE HIM.
