I love Hottest 100 weekend.

Yep, we're continuing our (relatively) new tradition and replaying the 1999 countdown on Double J on Monday. And it's gonna be heaps of fun.
But I still love the triple j countdown.
I don't have a party for it anymore, neither do any of my mates. That was for our 20s.
I'm never listening to it in the one place these days. I catch snippets as I run errands, chat about it to whoever will engage on twitter, and I always settle in at home for the pointy end.
This means I can swear about the injustices, dance and sing along without raising too many eyebrows.
I definitely don't like all the songs in the countdown.
Okay, to be honest, I definitely don't know all the songs in the countdown. But that makes it more exciting. I always end the day finding a new favourite.
I hope you get some joy from the radio this weekend, regardless of which Hottest 100 you listen to.
I believe it's one of the best things we do all year and I feel privileged to still get excited about this beast of a countdown, well over 20 years since I started listening.
