“Reverse Rapture”

The reactions to this one were hilarious.

But actually I heard from many people who thanked me for inserting some hilarity into the toxic doctrine of the rapture.

They appreciated that I was helping them laugh about it now. It is healing for them.

Do you remember all those Christian horror movies and books and tracts about being left behind while your good believer family and friends were taken up to heaven and their clothes left behind along with you?

I do.

WEIRD DREAMS LATELY

I’ve been having some dreams lately that are obviously trying to communicate something to me.

It’s about the quality of my life.

For example, in one dream I’m supposed to have a major procedure done. But I negotiate with this woman (she is actually Sister Marie… my very first spiritual director in real life from many years ago).

We make a deal that I will try alternative measures and get a blood test done to see if I’ve increased the positives and decreased the negatives in me.

Obvious enough?

Ya… I do need to be more positive.

In fact, I have a new mantra in my head these days, “Be happy here now!”

A variation of “Be here now!" or the power of now.

But for me happiness is key.
