Dec. 12, 2019 Snowy Friday, cold weekend. The vintage Minnesota winter weather continues. Most of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area, will see some light snow tomorrow with highs in the upper teens to mid-20s across the state. Temps will dip on Saturday, ranging from single-digit highs in western Minnesota to the lower 20s in far southeastern Minnesota. Officials investigate Jersey City shooting as “domestic terrorism” case. New Jersey’s attorney general said Thursday “the evidence points towards acts of hate” fueled by anti-Semitism and anti-law enforcement beliefs. Meanwhile, members of the Jewish community mourned their lost neighbors. On U.K.’s Election Day, dogs are the most popular figures at polling stations. U.K. voters are heading to the polls Thursday for a general election to select 650 members of Parliament. While politicians stumped for a final push, many voters embraced the hashtag #dogsatpollingstations , celebrating the wide range of Labs, collies, retrievers, setters, spaniels and shepherds that got a bit of exercise as their humans exercised their right to vote. It started when they were 7; now the kids are 63 in a new Up series. After profiling a group of Britons every seven years since they were 7, the Up series has captured changes in British society and the world. Now the participants are 63, and they are dealing with aging. The latest of the series, “63 Up,” gets its Minnesota release this weekend.
