Its been a tough year for us all, but one Glasgow resident has refused to let it dampen her Christmas spirit.

The video, which was filmed in Pollokshields by Kirstie Swain, saw the dancing tree boogie on down as Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses played out as her backing track.

The video has been viewed over 150,000 times and, finally, the mystery woman has been identified.

Watch the video here and find out the fantastic reason she was dressed as a dancing tree.

Scotland in the 1970s and the changing face of youth culture

I absolutely love this collection of photos of young Scots in the 1970s.

The changing face of pop was fast in those days, with glam rock and psychedelia dominating the early part of the decade, before rollermania, heavy rock, disco and punk all took turns in dominating the culture. It was British gig culture in it's golden days.

Can you spot yourself in the photos?

Take a look at our collection of 70s snaps that would provoke the eternal words "you're not going out dressed like that!" from your parents.

Thanks for reading, more stories are below,

Readers' Letters: A simple way to assess pupils without exams

While agreeing with Cameron Wyllie's argument against the cancellation of the Higher and Advanced Higher exams, (Thursday) I'd like also to point out that simple school attendance figures, unlike dodgy algorithms, could provide a clear measurement of every pupil's Covid related disadvantage or handicap. Taken alongside exam results these could be utilised to provide a fairer final grade for all candidates.
