Hello!
Since we last spoke yesterday, about a dozen new Super Bowl ads have come out. They're coming so quickly now that I had to rewrite the subject line to this newsletter three times since I started composing it.
Now that we have 30 ads out, I'd like to call out our Super Bowl gallery—it's new, improved and hosts every single Super Bowl ad released so far in one convenient place. Check it out here.
Below, you'll find links to our stories that cover most of the new ads that came out since yesterday's dispatch.

Why So Many Big Brands Will Be MIA on Super Bowl Sunday
We've noted that a few brands like Budweiser, Planters and Kia are absent from the Super Bowl in order to give to good causes. Additionally, there's no shortage of other big name advertisers staying quiet: Coca-Cola, Walmart, GoDaddy, Avocados From Mexico. Commerce editor Lisa Lacy explored the reasons why so many iconic advertisers said, "thanks, but no thanks" to a Super Bowl spot. Read it here.
Adweek Staff Share Their Favorite Super Bowl Ads of All Time
Fun fact: Adweek's Agencies Editor Minda Smiley appeared in a Super Bowl ad in the '90s. It's obviously her favorite Super Bowl ad, which she revealed in this video featuring our staffers naming our favorite ads and why. Watch it here. (In no particular order, my recent favorites are 2018's "It's a Tide Ad," the 2019 Bud Light/Game of Thrones crossover, 2018's Australian Tourism Crocodile Dundee trailer and 2020's Bill Murray/Groundhog Day Jeep Ad.)
