Dear friend and supporter, Recent developments within the Israeli government have shed light on the nation's dire financial situation from the ongoing war. The cabinet's approval of an amended 2023 budget faced stark opposition. Economy Minister Nir Barkat openly challenged it, highlighting the severe economic repercussions on small businesses and regional growth. This contention is one of many examples from the economic turmoil Israel is grappling with amidst the conflict. In this landscape of economic uncertainty, Feed Israel's role is more critical than ever. Since the war began we've been actively providing essential aid to displaced families. For instance, last week we encountered 148 evacuees from Kiryat Shmona and Shlomi, at Astoria Hotel in Tiberias, most jobless away from home. Our volunteers brought basic food, baby supplies, and hygiene products, offering support to those struggling to make ends meet. Similarly, at Nyx Hotel in Herzliya, where 350 evacuees, including 145 children, are sheltered, we've been consistently delivering crucial supplies and responding to the growing needs for additional support. Your help is pivotal in these challenging times. Each donation to Feed Israel helps us reach and support more families and soldiers affected by the conflict. Your contribution ensures the provision of meals and essential supplies, directly impacting the lives of thousands. Please consider donating today to help us continue our vital work. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by the war. |
