The lively, family-friendly event celebrated the traditional music, food and dance of our multicultural community. Find out moreCity endorses new Reconciliation Action PlanThe City has reaffirmed its commitment to reconciliation by adopting a new Reconciliation Action Plan. The 2023-2025 Plan details the City’s commitment to working towards improving relationships, opportunities and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. It outlines the actions the City will take over the next two years, building on the work already undertaken, which includes increasing Noongar naming of localities and areas across the City. Join Santa for a festive parade through the Wanneroo Town Centre at this free event, which will include music, market stalls, food, children’s activities and an ice-skating rink. The Christmas Fiesta will be held Saturday 10 December, from 5pm-9pm in the Wanneroo Town Centre. Pick-up detailsExhibition tells stories of loss and love through tattoosOur new exhibition, Ink in the Lines, shares the moving stories of modern Australian veterans and the communities they have built through their tattoos. Now showing at the Wanneroo Gallery, the exhibition is thought to be the first in Australia to explore the use of tattoos in the military. Head to the Gallery, 10am to 4pm, Wednesdays to Saturdays. Learn moreRiverlinks All Abilities Playground project progressesThe Riverlinks All Abilities Playground is a step closer to completion after the guiding concept designs were endorsed last month. All abilities play spaces are accessible to all, including children with mobility issues and those with cognitive, sensory or social-emotional challenges. The project has been made possible by a $2.6 million State Government contribution and will now progress to the detailed design phase.
