The 2022 Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight will be held at Wanneroo Raceway on Saturday 30 April to Sunday 1 May. I am proud the City of Wanneroo will again host the Supercars event, with fans guaranteed to get a buzz watching the cars under lights. The City is also a proud sponsor of The Marina Mindarie’s free Toast to the Coast event on Saturday 30 April. Enjoy gourmet food stalls and tastings along with Western Australian wine, cider and craft beer tastings, a selection of street food stalls, street performers, live music and roving entertainment for the whole family. Finally, a shout out to the City’s Waste Services team, who have been recognised in two categories in the 2022 WasteSorted Awards. Our multilingual waste education resource, the ‘Talking My Language’ toolkit, is a Waste Innovation Award finalist, and the Waste Services team is in the running for Waste Team of the Year. Get excited for the return of the Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight to Wanneroo Raceway this Saturday and Sunday (30 April – 1 May). Find out moreExperience the Sunset CoastThe City of Wanneroo has partnered with Destination Perth to bring residents a unique trail experience along Perth's Sunset Coast – a 50 kilometre strip of coastline that stretches from Two Rocks to Scarborough. The Sunset Coast Immersive Trail invites people from near and far to discover Perth's most significant historical sites and take a step back in time through augmented reality (AR). The trail contains seven historical sites, including the 10th Light Horse Trail and Perry's Paddock right here in the City of Wanneroo. The thought-provoking exhibition tells the personal story of Anne Frank in the historical context of her time, highlighting the relevance of her experiences in contemporary society in relation to prejudice, discrimination and exclusion. The yarning circle features six wooden poles, painted by students from Yanchep Secondary College to reflect the Six Noongar Seasons. Supported by the City of Wanneroo, Aboriginal artist Sharyn Egan, local cultural consultant Derek Nannup, Yanchep Police and students and staff from Yanchep Secondary College worked together to create this wonderful community space.
