As more work moves to remote or hybrid settings, managers need to become a "compass" who point their teams in the right direction, provide the resources and psychological safety they need and then measures success by outcomes instead of "managing" their daily work, writes Nick Skillicorn, founder and CEO of Improvides Innovation Consulting. "[W]hile outcomes can be incredibly hard to measure, they are ultimately the only thing that matters to a business," Skillicorn writes.
