Sydney families caught in storm unable to return home by Christmas |

Some families may not be able to return to their homes in time for Christmas after they were damaged by a "mini-cyclone" which swept through Sydney's northern beaches yesterday. More than 26,000 homes, some with their roofs torn off, were without power this morning after Sunday afternoon's storm. Check out the footage and images of the storm. |

NSW raises $330k for Lifeline |

How much can NSW raise in one day? We asked and you answered. Sydney and NSW raised an incredible $330k for the ABC Gives Appeal supporting Lifeline. Across the country ABC Radio raised over $1.5m for charity partners as part of the appeal. Throughout the day of giving Wendy and Robbie auctioned tickets to their final show on Breakfast, raising over $10,000 from generous listeners and Sarah Macdonald held a karaoke dance party with Lifeline to close out the successful day of giving.
