| | Last day to cast Technical.ly Awards votes Happy Tuesday, Baltimore. If we haven't put too fine a point on it, let it be known: YOU HAVE ONE DAY LEFT TO VOTE FOR THE WINNERS OF THIS YEAR'S TECHNICAL.LY AWARDS! Actually, no, you have less than a day, because voting closes tomorrow, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. EST sharp. And yes, I needed to shout it in all caps. Why? Because like your great uncle sending chain emails in the early-00s (sidenote: y'all seen those "share this or a decade of bad luck!" posts on social lately? I'm not about the ghosts of spam's past), we're so passionate about this year's nominations that we couldn't contain our enthusiasm. We endeavored to recognize people, companies, organizations and products whose respective successes in 2022 reflect the dynamism, passion, social concern and creativity that makes Baltimore and the surrounding region such a great place to work and live. The five nominees in each of the five categories draw upon our reporting, your effusive nominations and an assessment of what industries make the biggest waves — and which stand to. Chalk it up to a first-timer's enthusiasm, or the holiday spirit, or the coffee I drank a little too late this morning — it doesn't matter. These nominees' accomplishments speak volumes. I'm so excited about the roster and know from the over 1,000 votes already cast for Baltimore's nominees alone (to say nothing of those in our other markets) that you all are, too (pronounced "tew," because you know where you are). So what're you waiting for? Go vote before the polls close tomorrow, and make sure you sign up for our public Slack so you can catch our announcement of the winners there next Wednesday! — Technical.ly editor Sameer Rao ([email protected]) | | | Top Stories | By Exploring your team's childhood expectations of the future can boost understanding of the evolution of technology over decades.
