| | Welcome to our April edition of Alliance. I am pleased to start this newsletter with exceptional news – we are delighted to welcome Bendigo Health as our second Associate Member of the VCCC Alliance. This follows the appointment of Albury Wodonga Health earlier this year. We are committed as an alliance to improving outcomes for all Victorians who experience cancer, and the addition of two regional cancer centres marks a pivotal milestone in our ongoing journey towards achieving excellent outcomes for all.

Preparing Victoria's healthcare workforce for the national Lung Cancer Screening Program Cancer surgeon A/Prof Gavin Wright is enthusiastic about the start of Australia’s National Lung Cancer Screening Program. But he’s also cautious – the potential increase in workload for healthcare workers is uncertain. This is what the VCCC Alliance’s upcoming Lung Cancer Screening Symposium on May 23 is designed to tackle. The event is one spoke in a much broader wheel involving multiple organisations, readying Victoria’s healthcare workforce for the change.
