Dear John, Happy Feast of St. Francis of Assisi! In his writings, Francis inspired his brothers to engage with people in a simple and holistic way. He said, âGod revealed a form of greeting to me, telling me that we should say, âGod give you peace.ââ In that spirit, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Deacon Matthew Halbach, PhD, and I'm the president and publisher of Franciscan Media. I have served in this role for only a short time, but I realized early on how generous our audience is. We are a small company of 16 peopleâonly four more than the original 12 who joined St. Francis in his burgeoning ministry. We see ourselves as a continuation of those original band of brothers. |
As such, our organization is exploring new media spaces to provide resources that share the Gospel message, illuminated by the wisdom of Sts. Francis and Clare.
