Hi John, Vodafone has trumpeted a 22% decline in the rate of consumer complaints between the December and March quarters – and a complaints ratio for the March quarter more than 50% lower than the industry average. Its figures put rivals Telstra and Optus to shame.
NBN Co, the company building Australia's national broadband network has invested in 15 million metres of copper up until now for its multi-technology mix network. That’s a lot of copper to be buying to shore up superseded technology. Meanwhile, NBN Co has spent yet more taxpayer dollars on making itself look good. A newly published PAID report on the NBN by global research firm Ovum says NBN Co is investing twice as much on regional broadband than its nearest international rival. In a refocussing of its efforts to get more business from the small end of town, Optus has launched Loop - a cloud-based, virtual PABX targeted at small-to-medium business. Huawei has come out with a promise to customers. “You break it within three months - we fix it” in part because of the faith in Corning’s new Gorilla Glass 5 and in part to encourage purchasers of its new flagship P10 and P10 Plus.
