An American-style restaurant over a classic boozer - is it a sign of the times?

We've been speaking to landlord Peter Sutcliffe who has blamed the pandemic and a reluctance by villagers to return after lockdown as the primary cause of the shock closure of the Anchor Inn at Hutton.

It's a story that's provoked plenty of reaction and sees a 200-year-old institution closing at the end of this month.

What do you make of it all?

In today's newsletter we've got that and lots of other headlines, with tickets for PNE's meeting with Liverpool having gone on sale today to season ticket holders.

Thanks for reading,
