Emerging Pedagogies Summit

We are still reveling in the afterglow of our inaugural Emerging Pedagogies Summit earlier this month. We are grateful to every presenter for sharing their expertise, and to every attendee who was able to join us. We are actively imagining how these emerging pedagogies may take root at Duke.

As Vice Provost Yakut Gazi wrote in her reflection, the trend across all sessions was that "you cannot simply layer [emerging technologies and new pedagogical frameworks] on top of the traditional classroom. Instead, they require nothing less than a transformation of the way we teach and learn, and the way we think about our learners in higher education."

We spent two days hearing from passionate speakers, engaging in thought-provoking discussions with peers, and getting hands-on experience with educational technologies and teaching practices.

Session Videos Are Now Available

We are pleased to share the recordings of all sessions from this year's Summit. We encourage you to explore the topics and share them with your peers, and we invite you to contact us if any topic(s) in particular are of interest to you - we are always seeking new partners to innovate with us!
