Heat plant ribbon-cutting to be held Tuesday morning A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new VCSU heat plant will be held Tuesday, April 3, at 10:30 a.m.
Margaret Dahlberg, VCSU interim president, will emcee the event; Mark Hagerott, chancellor of the North Dakota University System, will give remarks. Wesley Wintch, vice president for business affairs, and Larry Robinson, executive director for university advancement, will also speak at the ceremony.
Tours of the facility will be available after the ribbon-cutting. United Way to host spaghetti feed April 9 The Barnes County United Way invites you to its first annual Spaghetti Feed at the Valley City Eagles Club. Join the United Way on Monday, April 9, from 5:30–7p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club. Freewill donations will be accepted for the spaghetti feed, with all proceeds going to the Barnes County United Way to support local nonprofit groups.
When you support the United Way of Barnes County, you can know that you are making a difference in your local community—98 percent of the funds are managed locally for operation expenses and distribution to the following agencies: Abused Persons Outreach Center

Friday: VCSU 10, Jamestown 7; VCSU 6, Jamestown 3; Jamestown 3, VCSU 1
The Valley City State University softball team won two of three games against No. 16-ranked University of Jamestown on Friday in Aberdeen, S.D. The Vikings, who are receiving votes in the Top 25 poll, improved to 25-8 overall and are tied with Jamestown for first in the NSAA standings at 8-3.
Baseball
Friday: Jamestown 10, VCSU 1; Jamestown 4, VCSU 1; Jamestown 6, VCSU 2
The Viking baseball team dropped a tripleheader Friday against No. 12-ranked University of Jamestown. The games were played in South Sioux City, Neb. VCSU is now 8-17 overall and 2-5 in the North Star Athletic Association.
