By Bob Warren Tiger vaxxings: Tiger Stadium is going the way of the Caesars Superdome. Starting with the McNeese State game next month, fans attending LSU football games will have to show proof that they’re vaccinated or a negative COVID test result, the university said this morning. Last night’s Saints game was the first in the Dome under the new vaccination rule. So how did it go? Not so bad. The new rules even prompted some folks to get the stick. Speaking of the Saints. . .columnist Jeff Duncan says it’s time for Sean Payton to name Jameis Winston as the starter. One last Saints bit – you gotta check out this picture from Chris Granger. It’s electric. The other pics in his gallery from last night aren't too shabby, either. Sad ending: More on the fatal shooting of the New Orleans police detective in Houston over the weekend. Turns out Everett Briscoe was there on a guy’s trip with friends from the Zulu organization when he was murdered during an armed robbery at a restaurant. His buddy, Dyrin “DJ” Riculfy, was also shot and remains in a Houston hospital. Such a sad story. Ready now? Now that the FDA has given full approval to the Pfizer vaccine, will more people get vaccinated? Cartoonist Walt Handelsman has his doubts. Social climber: The fab new Four Seasons Hotel in New Orleans just recently opened its doors to customers. But some stomach tightening video of a daredevil scaling a part of the building is making the rounds on social media. Our intrepid reporter Doug MacCash tried to smoke out the climber. Oh, and please don’t try this folks – it's incredibly dangerous stuff. Hope you enjoyed the Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us. BW |
