Happy Wednesday! Today we take a deep dive into the findings of a Bynder survey that assesses the impact marketing technology has on brand awareness and perception. With user experience (UX) listed as the top brand differentiator among those surveyed, it’s no surprise that 34% of respondents indicated they plan to improve/optimize UX in 2020. We also look at how ecommerce companies can beat the ‘Amazon effect’ with the help of WordPress. As Amazon continues to improve its online presence and introduce new features to its loyal customers, so shall its competitors. There is space in the market for more innovative, creative, and user-centric online stores, and WordPress’s features and compatibility with a host of tools make beating the Amazon Effect easier. Also ICYMI: Revl, the leading camera, and AI-powered video editing company, announces a $5.5M Series A funding round led by Nimble Ventures with participation from Tuesday Capital, Silicon Valley Data Capital and Luma Pictures. OneTrust, a data privacy management compliance platform, announced a $210 million Series B funding led by Coatue and Insight Partners. Digital River, experienced global ecommerce enabler for established and fast-growing brands, announced that it has raised a total of $50 million in incremental funding to accelerate its transition into a premier provider of API-based global ecommerce solutions. AnswerRocket and Nielsen’s Global Connect business announced that Nielsen will leverage the AnswerRocket platform to automate and scale business intelligence and insights generation for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers and retailers it serves around the world. Verint Systems, the customer engagement company™, has teamed up with Adobe to support more personalized customer journeys by combining experience data from their Verint Experience Cloud with data from the Adobe Experience Platform. Stardust, the leading social app for fans to follow and discuss their favorite movies and TV shows, today announced “Weekly Recs”, a new recommendation flow for their users worldwide. |
