NASA completes successive rounds of drone flight demonstrations in two U.S. cities using an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Traffic Management (UTM) construct. Results from the project point to the complexity of managing small drone operations at low altitudes though no accidents or collisions were reported. Ten drone types - all multirotor aircraft - flew during the demonstrations. Takeoffs and landings from ground to rooftop, rooftop to ground and rooftop to rooftop were tested extensively.
