NATIONAL HEADLINESNo Greenland, no trip. President Donald Trump cancels his planned state visit to Denmark because the Danish Prime Minister said they would not sell Greenland to the U.S. [CNN].
Today's Trump outrage. President Trump sparked criticism on Tuesday said Jewish Americans who vote for Democrats showed "either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty" [NYT]. The NRA gets results. President Trump was on board with a plan to expand background checks for gun purchases following mass shootings in Texas and Ohio. Trump backed away from the idea after speaking with NRA head Wayne LaPierre [Atlantic].
Economy. After the White House denied the story, President Trump confirmed he's considering pushing for a payroll tax cut to boost the economy [WaPo].
Immigration. The Trump administration is expected to announce a new regulation that would allow for the detention of migrant families beyond the 20-day limit for holding children [CNN].
