The items will be clean, and they won't be thrown around the dishwasher. I especially like this hint because I can use an item I already have, and don't have to purchase those plastic holders that they sell for this purpose.

Flatten Shirt Lapel Without an IronHere is how to get the flattest lapel in town; it is better than using an iron. Take your shirt out of the dryer and hang up on a hanger damp or if it's already dry apply a mist of water to the edge you are looking to press.

Making a Scrubbie CubbieWhen the back of my sink began looking like a mess of cleaning tools, I couldn't stand it anymore. With a dollar store gallon bag and three binder clips, I made a little "out of sight" place they can be handy. If you don't have the towel rack, you can still do this with three cup hooks to hang the clips on.
