Use the SHOP FTE Calculator to Determine Your SHOP Eligibility

TheSmall Business Health Options Program(SHOP) is for small businesses that want to provide health and/or dental insurance to their employees. Generally, only businesses with 1-50 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees are eligible for SHOP insurance.

Businesses can use the SHOP FTE Calculator to see if their mix of full-time and part-time employees equals between 1-50 FTE employees. All you need to do is enter the number of full-time employees and the hours worked per week by part-time employees, and the calculator will tell you if your business qualifies. The SHOP FTE calculator will also tell you how FTEs are calculated and provide you with information about what constitutes a full-time or part-time employee.
