Use heartfelt language to recruit people with disabilities Putting heartfelt personal language regarding disability inclusion in job postings and adding testimonials from disabled employees on the company website can improve the recruitment of people who have disabilities, write researchers Mason Ameri and Terri R. Kurtzberg, who tested job advertisements, websites and interviewing techniques. "Our studies show that emphasizing their hard skills for the job (such as proficiencies with specific technologies) during the interview process can help a disabled candidate, as can delaying the conversation about accommodation needs until after some rapport has been built," they write. Survey: 68% work during vacations Vacation is considered one of the most important employee benefits, but a new SHRM survey finds that most workers cannot truly disconnect from the office. More than half say they take work-related calls, and 86% say they work during vacations, a practice experts say that can lead to burnout. Survey: Young HR execs more likely to see AI positively Larger companies -- defined by having more than 500 employees -- are more likely to use AI in their HR departments than their smaller brethren, according to a survey of 1,100 decision-makers by Deel.
