Good afternoon,

Donald Trump has announced a $US500bn investment to build infrastructure for artificial intelligence led by three of the world’s foremost tech giants.

The move, which Mr Trump said was in part to outcompete China, has turned several heads locally, with local data centre operators looking to cash in on the momentum and build Australia’s own AI economy.

Artificial intelligence has become the new battleground to revive sluggish smartphone sales, with Samsung delivering a suite of new features to entice people to upgrade their devices.

The Korean tech titan has unveiled its newest flagship Galaxy S25 smartphones, introducing a new ‘Edge’ slim phone and a “human-like” artificial intelligence-powered agent it says is the “strongest indication of a better collaboration” with Google to create more personalised experiences.
