| Hello. The Atlantic magazine has published the full text of the group chat its editor-in-chief was inadvertently added to, where US officials were discussing plans for a strike on Yemen. Washington-based reporter Bernd Debusmann Jr hears from national security professionals about the messages' significance and sensitivity. In the West Bank, our correspondent Dan Johnson speaks to witnesses of the attack against Palestinian film-maker Hamdan Ballal. And finally, scientists discover an "awkward-looking" dinosaur. | |

TOP OF THE AGENDA | US officials dispute plans were classified |

| | White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt attacked The Atlantic's editor-in-chief during a briefing. Credit: Getty Images | In the hours since The Atlantic published the full message exchange, various officials including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth contested whether the information shared constituted "war plans". The argument, writes Bernd Debusmann Jr, is unlikely to hold much weight with national security professionals, who have noted that the messages posted to a Signal group chat included specific attack plans and timetables that could have compromised the operation, if they had fallen into the wrong hands. He’s unpacked three of the messages in detail. |

| Witnesses recall attack on film-maker | | Co-director Basel Adra says violence from settlers has increased in Susya in recent months. Credit: Reuters | Three weeks ago, Hamdan Ballal won an Oscar for best documentary for his film No Other Land, which documents the fight over Masafer Yatta, a community of villages in the occupied West Bank. On Monday, Ballal's home was attacked and he was held in Israeli detention for almost 24 hours. His co-director was among those who witnessed the violence. |
|
| | | Hamdan's co-director Basel Adra is outside the house on his phone, nervously trying to get news of his friend's detention. He tells me how he heard of trouble starting last night and came to help. "I saw around 15 settlers vandalising one of the homes and smashing the car, stabbing the water tanks and throwing rocks at anyone moving."
Israel Defense Forces says Monday's violence began when "terrorists hurled rocks at Israeli citizens, damaging their vehicles". "Following this, a violent confrontation broke out, involving mutual rock-hurling between Palestinians and Israelis". Josh Kimelman, an American living in the West Bank for three months with the Centre for Jewish Non-Violence, disputes the IDF's version of how the violence started. |

And finally... in Mongolia | A rare new species of two-clawed dinosaur has been discovered by scientists in the Gobi Desert. The Duonychus tsogtbaatari, as it's since been named, used its foot-long (30cm) claws to grasp vegetation to feed itself and, also, as formidable weapons. Take a look. | |
